A visual and performance art street festival

Arts Under the Mountain Te Aroha

Set in the heart of Te Aroha on the main street, Arts Under the Mountain Festival is a visual and performing arts festival. Many shops will be open and local cafes will be supplying plenty of great coffee and food in the festival zone. A colourful array of artisan street vendors and artists will be displaying unique artworks and crafts for sale.

A stage programme will be showcasing fabulous musicians and vocalists. Special guests this year are Ana Lorite and Sergio Aguilar from Naranjarte, a Spanish theatre company who will be performing their puppetry, juggling, and illusion performance “The Bell” (with funding assistance from the Creative Communities Fund). The Sonic Arcade programme will feature unplugged, intimate sound experiences from classical musicians, choral singers and poets. There is something for everyone at this unique Festival!
