Apr 4 – 25

A four-week writing course with Suzy Willow, using our voice to both hear ourselves, and be heard.

A four-week writing course with Suzy Willow

“A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.” -Maya Angelou

Using Terry Tempest Williams “When Women Were Birds: 54 Variations on Voice” as inspiration, and ‘birds’ as a metaphor we will use poetry and writing prompts to explore ways and means of supporting our unique ‘voice’ amidst the natural triumphs and trials of life.

What are the ways we use and don’t use our voice to both hear ourselves, and be heard.

The course will comprise of:

– Four in-person classes with poems and writing prompts and the opportunity to share your responses with the group

– Bring your own pens and notebook

-PDF Workbook given at the end of the course

Previous experience is not necessary, just an open mind and heart.
