Here’s something worth visiting in Tokoroa next week. WHENUA. POTTERY EXHIBITION. Tokoroa Arts Society, Celebrating 70 years of Tokoroa Arts Society Potters. Open Saturday 25th January every day until the 31st January. 10am-3pm. GALLERY77 Bridge Street Tokoroa. Showcasing pottery made here in Tokoroa at the local clubrooms, by the local community. Some really beautiful art work. Call in to support the local potters, have a kōrero about the importance of keeping the arts alive in Tokoroa at a crucial time for us with our premsis under threat. There’s also a slideshow of potters at play and work from over the years for you to watch and models explaining the process. It’s been a long time since we held an exhibition, well worth the wait. 🌿
