TERM 3 DATES: 28 July to 29 September 2024

LEVEL 2

FOR EMERGING, RETURNING, and PRACTICING ARTISTS

MONDAYS 9.30 – 11.30am

TERM 3 DATES: 29 July to 30 September 2024

Welcome to my zoom groups! I am Margaret Feeney, an experienced artist and art tutor.

The zoom sessions jump around:

o  between different materials, processes, concepts and methodologies

o  between hunting down and analysing formal elements and their organising principles – and pure experiential engagement

o  between observational and conceptual mahi

o  between 2D and 3D

o  between traditional artistic idioms and anarchic interventions

The ethos is high concept/ low tech, so ideas are not held hostage by lack of money, default settings, or circumstance. The programme is experimental, process-based, and exploratory.

o  You will gain courage and discipline: to focus, to not care, and to act

o  The core kaupapa is invention and fun

o  We embrace creative risk, accident, and failure

o  Basically stumble around, mostly forwards
