Art has to have context, otherwise it’s meaningless. By studying art history we use the past inform the future and give context to what we do. What can we learn from the greats and also previous generations of artists? Does their work have meaning? If so what? We’ll look at these ideas and others, From the Greeks through to Post Moderism. We’ll see where art has come from and where it will possibly go to in the future.
