Join Jayden Hokianga @hokiangaarts and the whānau at Whare Hau Tutū as we explore the foundational design systems and meaning behind kōwhaiwhai. In these sessions, you’ll learn the core principles of kōwhaiwhai, explore pattern systems, structure, purākau, and composition while building confidence through hands-on sketching and design. You’ll leave with a strong cultural and creative foundation, ready to step into the 2-day wānanga with deeper understanding, skill, and respect for this living artform.
