Raglan based Prog-Soul/Post-Disco band TeamSquad play a free, all ages show in garden place, with support from Glam-Pop duo Amun Rā.

TEAM SQUAD
A neon-soaked explosion of Synth Soul, frothing from the shores of Raglan, New Zealand. Their music is a vibrant fusion of prog-soul, post-disco and retro synth solos inspired by the music of the early 80s. Think Prince, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Patrice Rushen.

Waking from a hallucination of 80s Sci-fi films, abandoned disco dance-floors and maniacal Synth-Lords, Ruth & Kane Power began crushing velvet vocals into face-melting synths to form TeamSquad in2020; Kane’s dystopian dance-beats conspired with funk bass hooks offered by Odhran Devlin from 2023, and TeamSquad had found their sound.

With a growing fanbase and support from NZ On Air, they recently studio-recorded their highly anticipated forthcoming EP, Apocalipsync – set for release in Summer, 2025. They’ve stunned audiences at festivals like Sanctuary Sounds, Tauranga Fringe and Hamilton Kirikiriroa Arts Festival, and supported an eclectic range of headliners from Cornerstone Roots to Silver Scroll nominees, Skilaa.
