I am Margaret Feeney, practicing artist and art tutor. This programme is for everyone — beginner, emerging, returning, and practicing artists!

Approach

You will join in 10 two-hour long online sessions, which explore:

• different materials, processes, concepts, and methodologies;
• formal elements and their organising principles, and pure experiential engagement;
• observational and conceptual mahi;
• 2D and 3D;
• traditional artistic idioms and anarchic interventions;

and art historical contexts of production (incl. socio-political/economic).

Kaupapa

Invention and fun. You will gain courage and discipline: to focus, to not care, and to act. We embrace creative risk, accident, and failure. Formal instruction is interspersed with play: conceptual drawing, 3D drawing, drawing with light and with the silhouette, stop motion, and collage etc.
