The ‘Stars of Brass’ programme will keep you enthralled with sensational solo’s, dynamic duets and exciting band features.

David Bremner’s virtuosity will impress with ‘The Debutante’ and Phillip Sparke’s ‘Sambezi’ on trombone then he’ll effortlessly switch to euphonium for Peter Graham’s dazzling euphonium duet ‘Brillante’ with Luke Spence.  Harmen Vanhoorne will take your breath away as he embarks on ‘Off the Scale’ and ‘Fortune’s Fool’ then joins with Kay McKenzie for the incredibly beautiful ‘Pie Jesu’.    Kay will treat us to some of her favourites including the unforgettably evocative ‘Memory’ and the expressive ‘On With the Motley’ then your toes will be tapping with Latin rhythms as Kay and Harmen delight with the exciting and dramatic ‘La Suerte de Los Tontos’.

Sit back and enjoy as Luke Spence’s warm euphonium sounds wash over you with John Golland’s lyrical and moving solo ‘Peace’ then prepare to be dazzled as ‘Devil’s Duel’ will see Luke duelling with various instruments in the band with displays of virtuosity in the fast, and cunning in the slow.   David Paligora will delight with the beautiful love hymn ‘Sång Till Lotta’ then change pace with the bass trombone descriptive feature ‘Capriccio’.   All of our Stars will amaze and astonish in the thrilling and high energy ‘Cossack Fire Dance’ from Peter Graham’s ‘Call of the Cossacks’.
