School Holiday Workshop with Jordan Wood: Face Off
In this 1.5h handbuilding workshop run by Jordan Wood you will practice and mix different techniques to create your own unique character.
This school holiday workshop is run by our Australian resident artist Jordan Wood. Suitable for ages 8 – 14
During the workshop students will look at how other artists have used clay in different ways to capture expressions to help inspire them in bringing clay to life!
During this workshop the students can experiment with
draping and moulding to make 3D forms and they will also get an introduction to modelling, how to use tools to make noses, eyes, lips, spikes, worms, etc.
In the studio we will make a pinch pot form,
getting a feel for the clay. We will then look at draping slabs of clay to make
different forms and at attaching appendages to the forms.
You may either take your work with you after the workshop or leave it to be fired with us. All materials and aprons provided. Please wear closed footwear and clothes suitable for working with clay.
