A rollicking contemporary performance of Romeo and Juliet in the stunning TreeChurch and Gardens.

Fresh from winning Best Theatre/Physical Theatre at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Barden Party bring a rollicking, beautiful and contemporary performance of Romeo and Juliet to the stunning TreeChurch and Gardens.

The Barden Party are a group of professional Nelson-based actors and musicians who perform Shakespeare in gardens, with contemporary New Zealand and Australian music.

Romeo and Juliet will be performed among our large trees in the Gardens. The event will go ahead rain or shine, with cover available if needed.

Gates will open from 4pm for those who also want to spend time in the TreeChurch, a chapel of living trees, and explore the 2.5ha of beautiful gardens surrounding it.

Unqiue Food Geeks will be here with their food truck offering delicious food fit for a theatre performance.
