Get your family together and waddle down to Exscite for our Penguin Party!

We’re proud that Waikato Museum’s 30-million-year-old fossil of the Kaawhai giant penguin is now permanently on display in our interactive centre for discovery, Exscite. This after-hours event will celebrate the remarkable discovery with fun family activities and a special talk by members of the Hamilton Junior Naturalist Club, known as ‘Junats’ for short.

Activities include:

• After-hours access to Exscite
• Talk by Junats about discovering the penguin in 2006
• Penguin-Waddle racetrack
• Penguin crafts
• Pen Guin Bowling and other cool penguin-themed games

This event will suit families with tamariki aged 5 to 12 years.

• Child (2 years and under) Free
• Adult $15
• Family $45 (two adults and up to four children)

Children cannot attend unaccompanied. Your group must include a parent or caregiver.
