Paul Darragh artist talk
Contemporary geometric artist Paul Darragh will talk about his creative practice and his experience as a queer artist.
In this public talk celebrating Hamilton Pride Month at Waikato Museum, Paul Darragh will talk about his creative practice, his extensive career as an international artist, and his experience as a queer artist.
A contemporary geometric artist and designer originally from the Waikato, Paul now based in Mount Maunganui following a decade spent living and working in New York City. His bold abstract style traverses both traditional canvases and large-scale outdoor murals.
Hamilton audiences may be familiar with Paul’s recent work in the Boon Sculpture Trail, ‘Progress Pillar’, which was a testament to queer history.
