NZSL Tour at Waikato Museum

Join us for a NZ Sign Language guided tour of Waikato Museum. Appropriate for Deaf people of all ages and hearing family.

To celebrate NZSL week 2023, we are excited to begin our regular NZSL interpreted tours of the museum.

In this interpreted tour you will learn about the famous waka, Te Winika. You will also learn about the ‘Tongue of the Dog’ sculpture outside and some of the other exhibitions inside the museum.

You can also ask questions. This tour is appropriate for Deaf people of all ages – hearing family members are welcome too.

This tour is completely free but booking is required.

Booking preference will be given to Deaf visitors for this event.
