North Waikato Sustainable Art Festival is a small 2 day boutique art festival held in rural Pokeno. Our purpose is to offer an art festival with mana, to offer art experiences that strengthen and enrich our communities, expanding cultural horizons by being a catalyst for sustainability, Kaitiakitanga, contemporary art, and sustainable art. We offer you a creative vibrant weekend of Waikato art. It’s going to be magical. Whether you’re passionate about sustainability, art, Waikato art, painting, drawing, gardening, the literary and oratory arts, steampunk, or crafts, our events offer a diverse range of creative activities and workshops for all ages.

NORTH WAIKATO SUTAINABLE ARTS FESTIVAL WORKSHOPS ARE FACILITATED BY EXPERIENCED ARTISTS

Sessions include workshops on oil and acrylic Painting, Drawing, Writing, Maori Art (Nga Toi), Raranga, upcycled materials craft workshops, yoga classes, talks on organic gardening and bee-keeping, steampunk, the Art of Business – plus more. We aim to create an atmosphere that is inclusive and inspiring, a space to learn new skills, and collaborate to create a more sustainable and beautiful world.
