Needlework workshop with Jo Dixey
We are thrilled to promote this amazing workshop with Jo Dixey who hand-embroidered embellishments on Kōpū’s dress for the movie ‘Ka Whawhai Tonu – St
Jo trained at the Royal School of Needlework in England, and now works on big productions like Mulan!
Jo has a number of her artworks in private and public collections, like Te Papa Tongarewa who acquired her hand-embroidered 3D Covid virus she created during lockdown.
A FREE workshop from 10am-12.20pm with Q&A at 12.30pm-1.00pm at the Centre, Friday 31st January 2025!
Suitable for ages 17 and older. All materials supplied; previous needlework experience an advantage but not required.
