Matt has been residing in New York since 1995 and the musicians he has performed and recorded with reads like an encyclopaedia of the World’s Jazz Greats. He spent 14 years as a member of the SFJazz Collective, an ensemble of world-leading players and composers in which he toured and recorded with people such as Bobby Hutcherson, Joshua Redman, Joe Lovano, Miguel Zenon, Eric Harland, Nicholas Payton, Rene Rosnes and others.

Matt spent more than a year touring with jazz fusion legend John Scofield, and has also performed with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Madeleine Peyroux, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Seamus Blake, Billy Childs, Ari Hoenig and many, many more.
