Matariki DIY Journals | Matariki Series

21 Jun

Create a handmade journal for your stories, memories, intentions, for mokopuna yet to come.

Stories for Our Mokopuna

Join Kiri for creative wānanga for adults who want to slow down, reflect, and make something deeply personal leading into Matariki.

This kaupapa centres on remembering those who have passed, carrying stories forward, and creating a handmade junk journal as a vessel for memory, whakapapa, wairua, and intention.

Using paper, found materials, writing prompts, texture, image, and creative play, participants will begin building a journal that can hold whānau stories, personal reflections, future hopes, or messages for the generations to come.

This is not about making a perfect book. It is about making space for what wants to be remembered, released, or carried forward.

All materials are provided. No creative experience is needed.

Cost: $60 per person

Audience: Adults 18+
