The Matamata Community Choir (MCC) was established in June 2022 and is a mixed choir and welcomes enthusiasts of all ages with a love of singing and a willingness to learn a great variety of songs from sacred and secular to folk, waiata, pop, show tunes etc. There is no requirement to audition and its ok if you don”t read music. We work with the aid of audio files which make the learning of the songs so much easier.
We practise every Tuesday night from 7.00pm to 9.00pm in the Anglican Church Hall in Hohaia Street. Our aim is to stage two concerts a year.
Our yearly subscription is $50.00 pp or $75.00 if there are two in the family. This helps towards the hiring of the hall, photocopying of sheet music, etc.
If this sounds like you then come and join us, we would love to have you.
