A touching performance by a New Caledonian multidisciplinary performer

On 22 September, join Alliance Française as we welcome Marie Murtini from New Caledonia during her tour of New Zealand.

A poetic text in the service of peace: emotions guaranteed during this performance-reading, with props and scenic effects, that takes us on a journey through a modern tale, a journey of initiation.

Plot: It’s the story of an unlikely meeting between Gabrielle, a contemporary botanist living in New Caledonia and a child of the Second World War who lived in Hiroshima, Sadako. Gabrielle talks to us about our uncertainties, our doubts and our aspirations. Sadako talks about the hope that leads to strength and resilience.

Duration: 45 minutes + time with the artist
