Make a Puppet! Workshops for Kids

Jul 11 – 12, 2022

A great opportunity for kids to build a muppet and learn basic puppeteering skills in these half-day school holiday workshops.

Join the wonderful and extraordinary professional puppeteer and puppet-maker Ifat Vayner in these creative puppetry workshops and open the door to the world of puppetry.   In each workshop, participants will learn how to construct a muppet using different materials, how to give it a voice, personality and movement, and how to develop short scenes.  A different muppet design will take centre stage in each workshop.  Loco the Taco is designed with a younger age group in mind, and Jacques the Chef, for a slightly older group, but the age brackets suggested are very flexible.

Chef Jacques: Monday 11 July 2022, 10:00am-1:00pm for kids aged 10-15.

Loco the Taco: Tuesday 12 July 2022, 10:00am-1:00pm for kids aged 8-11.

No previous art experience necessary. All materials included. Completed muppet is yours to take home. This course is offered as an in-person workshop in Hamilton.

Workshop numbers are limited so get in quick! Register your kids for either or both workshops at https://earthdiverse.org.nz
