Lunchtime Recital Series - Return of Two Pianos
A concert on two pianos by pianists Joong Han (Jonathan) Jung and Joo Hae Kim.
A concert on two pianos by pianists Joong Han (Jonathan) Jung and Joo Hae Kim. The first half of the concert will begin with fun and lovely Sonata for Two Pianos in D major, K. 448 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and will be contrasted with wicked Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saëns. Over the years, Joong (Jonathan) has heard many different versions of Danse Macabre, so he decided to write his Two Piano arrangement for the recital. The second half of the programme will be opened with poetic and mournful Fantasy in F minor, D. 940 by Franz Schubert as a four-hand setting, and the recital will end with quirky and exciting Variations on a Theme of Paganini for two pianos by Witold Lutosławski.
