LOVECATS is an exciting new science fiction play by award-nominated writer Melanie Allison.
Kyle, Sam and Jo are workers at the Records and Rehabilitation Centre, a high security office designed to digitize the world’s records and phase out paper forever. Convicts are sent here to work off their sentences, an alternative to jail. Jo has been there longer than she knows, for a crime she barely remembers committing. Kyle learns this and is not ready to accept his fate. He formulates an escape plan with the guilt stricken Sam. This play will be an exciting blend of live music, theatre and film, featuring work from diverse local creatives.
