LEAP

23 Oct – 15 Nov

Two well known Raglan artists open their exhibition of abstract paintings as a part of the Raglan Arts Weekend

It was a joint decision by artists Jane Galloway and Marise Rarere to choose “LEAP” as the name for their show as it best describes an intuitive way of painting without planning. Where the work takes the artist and what it wants to say is  discovered after the painting is made. “ You have to be brave to push your own limitations aside and step out when you don’t have a plan” says Jane. “You must trust that something honest will emerge intuitively while letting go of control.” For visitors interested in abstraction LEAP will be an engaging show. Opens Friday evening before the very busy Raglan Arts Weekend gets underway on Saturday morning – one of several exhibition openings on the Friday evening. All welcome
