The Latin America & Spain Film Festival (LASFF) is coming to Hamilton

The Latin America & Spain Film Festival (LASFF) is a cultural event that brings together Latin American, Spanish, and New Zealand communities through the magic of cinema.

Celebrating its 23rd year, this non-profit festival showcases a hand-picked selection of contemporary films from eight participating countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Spain. From compelling stories to vibrant cultural insights, LASFF offers audiences a unique opportunity to experience the richness of Spanish and Portuguese-speaking cultures.

Organised by the Embassies, LASFF travels across Aotearoa with the support of local councils, universities, cultural organisations, and corporate sponsors.

The University of Waikato is proud to support the 2025 LASFF and host the Hamilton screenings at the University of Waikato.
