Lara Hall and Gracie Francis - Violin and Piano: Diverse Influences in Classical Music

Fabulous NY-based répétiteur Gracie Francis returns to Hamilton, performing with the University of Waikato’s violin teacher Lara Hall.  Included on the programme are Ravel’s jazz and blues inspired Sonata no. 2 alongside works by popular NZ composer Gareth Farr, the famous 18th Century Guadeloupean violinist Chevalier de Saint-Georges and Marion Bauer, a woman who was influential in shaping US musical identity.
