Landscape Felting Workshop

17 Nov

Join Megan for this special workshop and create fabulous landscapes of wool.

Join Megan for this special workshop and make a beautiful felted artwork.  We will walk around the park to seek inspiration from the landscape then Megan will help you make your own feltwork using wonderful natural wool and a simple felting process.  Suitable for absolute beginners to experienced felters – all are welcome.  A great time is guaranteed.

Megan was brought up on a remote hill country sheep farm where she learned many traditional wool-crafts.  She taught Earth Sciences at Waikato University for 30 years.  Her research took her 19 times to Antarctica, and around the world, to study landscapes, soils and permafrost.  Megan has a deep understanding of, and love for, the environment which she will undoubtedly share with you as you work on your own creation.

The workshop fee includes Park entry and you are most welcome to stay on when we’re finished to enjoy the Park.
