Kirikiriroa Hamilton Zinefest 2025

17 May

The Kirikiriroa Hamilton Zinefest returns to Hamilton Central Library on May 17th

Kirikiriroa Hamilton Zinefest 2025

Now in its 11th year, the Kirikiriroa Hamilton Zinefest returns to Hamilton Central Library for its annual market day festival, Saturday 17th May.

For those unfimiliar with Zinefest. A zine (pronounced “zeen”) is a labour of love, creativity and self-publishing. Think comics, short stories, novels, poetry, art, political rants, fandom and so much more. If you can think of it, you can make a zine about it.

This year’s market features 60 stallholders from all around the country, taking over Hamilton Central Library for the day. Joining us this year is Hamilton’s local Fair Enough art market, selling additional artisan goodies. Following this day’s market is the annual Zinefest after party at Mesoverse. Featuring live music, performances and the annual ‘Best of the Fest’ awards and prizes.

In the lead up to this year’s market day, there are a number of zine making workshops for both Adults and Kids. Follow our Facebook or Instagram for more information about these events, or check out Hamilton Libraries for more information.
