Kirikiriroa Hamilton Zinefest

15 Jun

Zinesters from across the country will converge on Hamilton Central Library for the 10th annual Kirikiriroa Hamilton Zinefest

50+ zinesters from across the country will converge on Hamilton Central Library for the 10th annual Kirikiriroa Hamilton Zinefest to sell, swap, and give away their cute and ugly zines! Comics, chapbooks, rants, papery memes, cartoons, collage, drawings, photography, stories, random collections of photocopied shoelaces and lint balls… you name it. Zines are self published magazines that go back to punk rock journalism, or further back to sci fi fandom of the 1930s/40s. These days they’re everything you can think of and more. Expect to spend anywhere between 50 cents and 20 dollars for a zine. Ten dollars in change from under the couch cushions can get you five good publications for sure. See you there cos it only happens once a year!!!
