An amazing opportunity to hear artist, Kevin Le Pennec, in an intimate and informal concert in Hamilton. On tour in Aotearoa for the first time, he invites you to experience a timeless moment through his trad-contemporary music. His compositions, inspired by Breton and Irish traditions, blend captivating rhythms with pop and jazz influences. The French lyrics tell stories of emotions, injustices, and reflections, engaging both the artist and the audience. His music soothes, challenges, and delights, offering a journey of warmth, joy, sorrow, and intensity. His clear, powerful voice, singing in French, English, and sometimes Gallo, whether a cappella or accompanied, defines his artistic identity. In May 2023, he released his first album, *À distance*. He performs throughout Brittany, France, and occasionally abroad (Switzerland, Germany, Spain, England, Italy, Scotland, USA). Kevin Le Pennec won the first prizes and the public prize at the World Harp Competition in April 2024.
He will perform in Hamilton 6.30pm Sunday 22nd March hosted by Dance Folkus in collaboration with Harps Aotearoa, and supported by Celtic Arts and Heritage Waikato.
