'Kancel Kulcha' an exhibition by Conor Jeory

    Aug 19 – 21, 2022

In 2014 I made and showed a series of mythical and pithy “gang patches”. I became intrigued to revisit the work, see how/If I've/We’ve changed..

In 2014 I made a series of mythical and pithy “gang patches” titled ‘Colouring In”. A thought provoking and fun show was had at David Lloyd Gallery then the work was shut away in a trunk. One thing and another – I became intrigued to revisit the work, identifying groups within the culture, marking them out, picking them out, colouring In.

Conor Jeory is a self taught artist working on the East Coast, living in Tairawhiti.

Working in whichever materials and technologies are available and applicable, combing the waste stream, beach combing the shores, dumpster diving with gay abandon, fashioning objects and commentaries as I make my way through this waking life.
