Please note an additional in depth class will be held in September. It is recommended to attend this course before the deep dive!
About your Intro to Electronic Music tutor:
Chris Cox aka Frank Booker, is a DJ, producer, music consultant, educator and Ableton Live Certified trainer based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Producing & performing under the alias, Frank Booker, he has released music on labels from Japan, United Kingdom, and America, and toured extensively throughout Europe, America and Australia.
He has performed alongside the likes of Moodymann, DJ Harvey, Hunee, Gilles Peterson and was the DJ of choice at a private event for Prince in 2016 during his New Zealand tour.
An Ableton Live user since 2008, Chris has been Programme Leader in DJ & Electronic Music Production at the Music & Audio Institute of New Zealand (MAINZ) since 2014.
He specialises in the areas of drum programming, sampling, live performance as well as mentoring for aspiring artists & producers.
