Holiday workshop: Celebrating Yule!

Come and celebrate the ancient Yule festival that welcomes the return of the sun and coincides with Winter Solstice with puppets, crafts and treats!

This workshop aims to expose young people to the beautiful diversity of the world, give them an opportunity to explore their inner creativity and discover the connections they share with the cultures around them. Join professional puppeteer Ifat Vayner and children’s educator Nona Morris for a day of exploring the traditions, foods and crafts of the December Yule festival. Parents may attend to support their children for no additional fee.

8:45am-9:00am: Drop off

9:00-10:00am: Opening activities

10:00-10:15am: Morning Tea

10:15-12:00pm: Puppetry/ Craft workshop

12:00-12:30pm: Lunch (Bring your own)

12:30-2:15pm: Puppetry/Craft workshop

2:15-2:30pm: Afternoon Tea

2:30-3:00pm: Puppet show/festival display (parents welcome)

3:00pm: Pick up

This workshop is for young people ages 8-14 years.

Please bring a packed lunch. Tea and coffee available throughout for parents and caregivers.
