Helen and Brian Gibson’s Christmas Miniature Show is back, and it’s better than ever this 2024 season!

The Gibson family is passionate about the Christmas spirit and has been collecting hundreds of special pieces from around the world for this incredible display during the last 16 years.

This year, they have added and renovated exciting, colourful pieces to the unique miniature Gibsonville decorations, like the Ice Cave, the Truffle Factory, the fishing shop, and the “old” clock tower.

As the leading art gallery in the Matamata-Piako district, we are privileged to share this private collection, a unique gem in Waikato and the North Island, with our visitors.

Come with your family and friends and join our Christmas community celebration. Enjoy the magical carnival scenes and winter landscapes in a village setting.

The Christmas Show is presented free of charge as a gift to our community on behalf of Helen and Brian Gibson. Donations to the gallery are very welcome.

We have also organised a drop-off point for food items that will be sent to the Ezekial Trust foodbank. Join us in spreading the Christmas spirit of giving.

This exhibition has been passionately curated by artists Helen and Brian Gibson and supported by the MPDC Creative Scheme.

The Christmas Show at the Morrinsville Gallery will be open to the public from Thursday, November 21, to Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Morrinsville Art Gallery is open regularly:

Tuesdays to Fridays: 10 am to 3 pm

Sat and Sundays: 11 am to 3 pm

Christmas Show Late Nights 2024

Brian and Helen Gibson will host a couple of late-night hours in December to visit the 2024 Christmas Show so everyone has a chance to enjoy it:

Sunday,  December 1, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm

Tuesday, December 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm

Wednesday, December 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm

Morrinsville Gallery will close on Sunday, December 22, at 3 pm and reopen on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 10:00 am.
