The Whangamata Harcourts Challenge & BIG ARTS DAY OUT is the annual premier art event to be held 24-26 January 2025.

The Harcourts Challenge and “Big Arts Day Out” will be held at the Memorial Hall, Port Road, Whangamata.  This year’s premier event is themed “The Senses” originating from the interaction between the external world and the human body’s sensory organs. These are the chosen sensors Sight, Smell, Taste or Touch.  Our key sponsors have donated prizes for each category including the 2025 Creative Writing component.  The Prize Giving evening is to be held on Friday 24 January, 5:00 – 8:00pm with tickets  available at the Whangamata Information Centre from mid December.
