An extravaganza of Christmas music, featuring favourite choruses from Handel's Messiah.

In what is a first for both choirs, Cantando and the Choir of St Peter’s Cathedral collaborate to bring you a Christmas extravaganza! Each choir will perform popular items from their Christmas repertoires and together present favourite choruses from Handel’s Messiah. To conclude the concert, the audience will be invited to join both choirs in singing some well-known Christmas carols.

Kolitha Jayatunge, Musical Director of Cantando Choir, and Dr Rachael Griffiths-Hughes, Director of Music at the Cathedral, are excited by the opportunity to bring both choirs together and present this programme of beautiful Christmas music, designed to inspire the spirit of the season.
