    FREE Artist Workshop

    4 Nov, 2022

'Drawing Inspiration' an immersive workshop with Oliver Stewart

Hamilton City Libraries are thrilled to be hosting neo-expressionist Oliver Stewart to facilitate a free artist workshop! During which he will demonstrate a variety of illustration techniques, and will help you to gain a sense of capability in art making and applying yourself to a practice.

Oliver will explore techniques in both illustration and acrylic based painting that he has acquired over years of practical based and researched based study. He wants participants to come away from his workshop with a sense that they are capable of painting and illustrating, and that they can apply themselves to a practice. Not only will he be demonstrating his artistic skills but also his mindset and how he is able to find inspiration daily.

“Oliver Vincent Nielsen Stewart has been producing art in Kirikiriroa for the past 12 years. With a range of gallery, installation and live performances under his belt, he has developed a visual aesthetic that he applies to any medium he can get his ‘grubby mits’ on”.
