Juxtaposing famous baroque music inspired by birdsong and contemporary New Zealand works championing our own bird life and those lost to us.

We celebrate our New Zealand composers with the premiere of Mārū for strings and harpsichord by Bjorn Arntsen – the 2024 Tertiary Winner of the Composition Workshop Competition in collaboration with the University of Waikato, Anthony Ritchie’s Tuifor solo flute and Janet Jennings’ The Lost Birds of Aotearoa.
