This is the final weekend for the successful exhibitions "View Point” and "Jenni Taris Pottery Making for Forty Years."

Gather your friends and family for a weekend of art, beauty, and joy at the Morrinsville Gallery! Our visitors can enjoy free entry and discover a diverse range of local artists from Matamata-Piako District and Waikato.

This is the final weekend for the successful exhibitions “View Point” and “Jenni Taris Pottery Making for Forty Years.” Many lovely pieces have been sold out, but you can still find something unique to treasure for your home. Do not miss them!

We are open Friday, 31 May, from 10 to 11 AM, Saturday, 1 June, and Sunday, 2 June, from 11 am to 3 PM. We will be closed on Monday, 3 June, King’s Birthday.

Our Community Gallery will delight you with “View Point,” an exhibition that celebrates artistic diversity. It features the works of five local artists: Susan Roome, Judy Flashman, Denise Boreham, Samantha Derewlany, and Chris Cockitt. Each artist brings a unique perspective, from vibrant landscapes to photorealism, promising a rich and engaging experience.

The Morrinsville Gallery Painting group is more than just a collective of artists. It’s a warm and welcoming community of friends united by a shared love for art. Since September 2022, they have been gathering every Friday at the Morrinsville Gallery Learning Centre, not just for painting sessions but also for the joyous camaraderie that comes with it.

Whakaaturanga Gallery feels joyful with each artwork piece of “Jenni Taris Pottery Making for Forty Years”. Jenni Taris reflects on her art journey: “I work every day in my studio, have my own kilns and equipment. My work comes from my stories and experiences in my life. I still experience the feeling of Christmas mornings when I open my kilns never know what’s it going to be like, I can plan it out as much as I can sometimes surprises, and wonderful things happen”.
