Devilskin

Devilskin at the BNZ Theatre in August 2026.
DEVILSKIN are a hard-rock phenomenon in their native New Zealand; exploding into the mainstream with their Double Platinum selling debut album We Rise (2014), which entered the NZ Official Album Charts at #1, and stayed in the top 40 for over 54 weeks. Since then, the band have gone from strength to strength over the past 10 years, with subsequent chart-topping albums Be Like the River (2016), and Red (2020) both topping the charts, and garnering Aotearoa Music Award nominations and wins (Rock Artist of the Year 2017; People’s Choice Award 2025).
The Hamilton quartet boast a chemistry that is unmatched in the realm of rock: with father-son duo Paul and Nic Martin (bass and drums) locking in their compositions with rhythmic prowess, the undeniable riffage from evil-twin Nail (guitar), all led by Jennie Skulander‘s enigmatic voice that sweeps you from sweet melodies to crushing gutturals faster than you can say whiplash; Devilskin have consistently proven themselves as an unstoppable force, worthy of the world stage.
Across their 15 year tenure, Devilskin has toured relentlessly across the globe, forging an unbreakable connection with their fans wherever they go. Annual tours of New Zealand – with scores of sold-out venues – showcase the growing, absolute dedication from their core supporters. Early interest from overseas allowed the band to execute multiple tours of Australia, the UK, and Europe; including underdog performances at Download Festival (UK, 2017; Australia, 2019), along with iconic staple appearances at New Zealand’s own Homegrown Festival.
Devilskin have earned the trust and respect of some of rock music’s most decorated artists; supporting the likes of Mötley Crüe, Disturbed, Airbourne, Coheed and Cambria. They were also personally selected to act as main support for local and international tours with Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, and US modern rock powerhouse Halestorm. Forming a bond with the latter, Devilskin and Halestorm have explored many corners of the world together, leading to an epic collaboration on Devilskin’s latest album.
Masters of immersive music, their latest release RE-EVOLUTION debuted on the Official Aotearoa Album Charts at #1 in July 2025. The album displays just how far they’ve come since their humble beginnings. Both welcomingly familiar and sonically fresh, RE-EVOLUTION dives deeply from introspective personal moments to visceral nightmares, beautifully woven with brazen chaos and dreamy, melodic mind-trips. Reinforcing their reputation for honesty, integrity, and depth, RE-EVOLUTION is Devilskin‘s most evocative release to date.
