Dame Malvina Major Waikato Aria Competition Final 2023

It’s time to shine! Our best and brightest are out to compete at the Dame Malvina Major Waikato AriaCompetition 2023 Grand Final! Enjoy an evening of the University of Waikato’s most promising operatic voices Saturday 22 July, 7pm.

There will be a bar open before the concert, and during the interval with light refreshments available.

Here is your opportunity to see internationally renowned soprano Emma Pearson work with the superb finalists from the University of Waikato Dame Malvina Major 2023 Aria Competition.

Each singer will present one of their arias from the final, and will have the opportunity to receive specialised insight and direction from Emma. An intriguing look into what makes a great performance of an operatic aria, and how the singers can take their vocal and dramatic interpretation to the next level. Free entry to the Masterclass.
