create your own floral ceramic piece

24 Jan, 2026

an opportunity to create your own unique ceramic piece for your home or garden

An experienced ceramicist and tutor Alison Lowe joins us again to share her skills and knowledge. Join with Alison as she guides you through the ceramic process to create your own unique piece for your garden or home.

Held over 2 sessions, this workshop will take participants through all the processes involved in producing a piece of ceramic ware.  In the first session you will shape your clay as Alison introduces techniques for modelling and adding texture to your piece.  The follow up session allows you to introduce glazes to your work making each piece truely unique.

We are fortunate to welcome Alison as a tutor as she allows participants the opportunity to have their work fired using her own kiln ensuring a piece of creative work that will be robust and suitable for interior and exterior display.

Be inspired by the wonderful environment of the arboretum and Alison’s own creativity.  Don’t miss this opportunity to make something unique for your own space or to gift to someone special.
