Josie Shapiro is the bestselling author of Everything is Beautiful and Everything Hurts, which won the inaugural Allen & Unwin Fiction prize. A graduate of the University of Auckland’s Master of Creative Writing, Josie was a Sargeson Fellow in 2024 and was named one of the 2025 New Voices of Aotearoa. She lives in Tāmaki Makaurau with her husband and two daughters. Her second novel, Good Things Come and Go, was named one of the best books of 2025 by the New Zealand Listener and The Spinoff

The workshop costs $30 and includes morning tea. Registration required. 

​The Trust Waikato Building is in Little London Lane, off London Street, Hamilton. The Trust has a sizable carpark and there’s ample parking outside and close by.
