New Zealand rural apparel brand Back Country is inviting Kiwis to finally part ways with their tired, holey socks at Fieldays this winter, with a giant ‘Sock Swap Fence’ inspired by New Zealand’s iconic rural roadside landmarks.

Back Country offers rural clothing made for those who live it – from socks all the way through to 100% wool jumpers – made for farm days, fishing, hunting, camping, and everything in between. Available exclusively at The Warehouse, it’s designed for Kiwi families and blends durability, comfort and classic Kiwi style.

Fieldays visitors will be invited to hang up their old socks – no matter how threadbare, dirty or mismatched –  on the Sock Swap Fence in exchange for a new pair of Back Country Men’s Brushed Thermal Socks, RRP $16.

The activation will run across all four days of Fieldays at Mystery Creek from 10 -13 June, with thousands of socks to be put into retirement throughout the event. And, they won’t go to waste – every sock donated will be recycled through ImpacTex and transformed into practical items such as signage, packaging, and furniture.
