Arts on Tuesday. An artist chat event where we come together to enjoy a lovely home baked morning tea supplied by our Fundraising Committee (includes a variety of Gluten and dairy free items for people with intolerances’). To start off our programme with a bang we have three fascinating artists to share about their practice, inspiration and careers. Our stellar line up of speakers includes:  

Jean Carbon – Raglan Shibori dyeing tutor/artist – Her show Shades of Blue will be freshly installed in our Awatea Gallery.

Catherine Beard – Woodcarver of beautiful utensils – Her almost sell out first show is presently on in the Whaakturanga in a three-person group show named Of Land and Sea, which includes Vicki Carruthers and Joy Yeates – Ross. Please note if time allows Vicki Carruthers may jump in and share about her Stone Carving practice also. 

Louise Cook – Renowned Saori Weaving teacher & artist – Louise is in talks with us presently about running Saori workshops out of the galleries own Creative Learning Hub – Do come along or sign up for our newsletter via the website to hear about the dates for these. 

All legends in their own creative genre – They will share their stories as part of a creative chat panel lead by our own Jane Fergusson.

$15 Entry includes our lovely morning tea, koha for children under 15/walk-in’s welcome
