Arts on Tuesday - August Session

5 Aug, 2025

For the past 15 years, the Morrinsville Gallery has celebrated art and the people who make our community a vibrant place to live!

Join us for the “Arts on Tuesday” event on August 5th at 10:30 AM, proudly supported by The Morrinsville Gallery Fundraising Events.

The Morrinsville Gallery Fundraising Committee is pleased to host this monthly event, designed to provide you with enlightening music and engaging conversations, including a Q&A session.

We are thrilled to announce artists Meg Gaddum and Marcus Tatton, who will be discussing their exhibitions: “Where Colour Lives” and “Return to Aotearoa Show” (coming soon). Meg Gaddum will engage the public in a conversation about the fascinating topics of color and mediums, as well as her approach to experimentation in her work.

Marcus Tatton will share insights about his current art practice and residency at The Sculpture Park in Waitakaruru, located in Scotsman’s Valley. He will also discuss his international career in creating public art sculptures, his drum-making business, and his upcoming show.

Additionally, we are excited to welcome guest guitarist Harvey Indyk, who will perform an acoustic guitar set.

During your visit, be sure to enjoy the art show “On Paper,” presented by our friends at The Arts House Trust. Don’t miss the exhibition “Where Colour Lives” by Meg Gaddum in the Whakaaturanga Gallery. We also invite you to explore the adjacent show, “Our Art Journey,” in the Community Gallery, which features a vibrant display of creativity and colour from students at Morrinsville College. Additionally, experience our unique live art event, the Cow Art Festival 2025, where more than 16 local artists will be painting a cow on a rotating basis.

Fundraising tickets for Arts on Tuesday are just $15 for adults and koha for children under 12 years. As always, a delicious morning tea featuring home-baked treats (mostly gluten-free) will be served, providing an enjoyable aspect of the morning alongside fellowship and lively conversation.

Your contribution helps create a better future for our local community by supporting the invaluable Morrinsville Gallery, and we deeply appreciate it.

Remember to mark your calendar and check our website regularly—we gather for Arts on Tuesdays once a month. We look forward to seeing you there!

We do not charge entry for visiting our exhibitions, and donations are always greatly appreciated.

As a non-profit organisation, we rely entirely on community support. Our efforts would not be possible without the help of donors, volunteers, and community members like you.

Thank you for being an integral part of our community and our story.

We are open
10 am – 3 pm Tuesday to Friday and 11 am- 3 pm on weekends.
Free entry for all our wonderful community!
Donations are very welcome
