Accessible Art tour Kirikiriroa
Lee who is experienced with people with disabilities, and people of all ages will host a relaxed tour through two exhibitions.
With thanks to the support of the Hamilton Creative Communities scheme, I will be running monthly art tours for the next year.
My aim is to make art accessible to anyone who may be a little shy, nervous, or curious about viewing art. It can be a bit daunting to attend these venues and exhibitions. Using my experience working with people and my art education, I will lead you in a relaxed and friendly way around two exhibitions each month.
I am a freelance art teacher and a support worker for people with disabilities. Making this event as accessible as possible for those with disabilities is very important to me. I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions (none are silly!), and I will do everything I can to make it easy for you to attend.
Here’s how the day’s schedule flows:
you do NOT need to pre book your space.
Please bring a gold coin for Lee, your guide. Meet outside Arts Post at 12:30 pm – 120 Victoria St. Tour the current exhibition. Walk to Waikato Museum – Next door. The tour will finish at 1:30 pm. You are more than welcome to leave before this and take breaks when needed. You can bring a support person for free or come alone. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions! Contact Lee at Studiotwoinformation@gmail.com.
I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions or need more assistance, please feel free to ask.
