Spend three days completely absorbed in Musical Theatre! Learn the ins and outs of performance technique with an experienced teacher!

A 3 day immersive and intensive Musical Theatre workshop learning from professional and experienced performers. Focusing on performance technique that can be applied to all kinds of performance art, this 3 day workshop caters to ALL LEVELS.

The idea of a ‘Performing Arts Workshop’ is to provide a multi-disciplined learning outlet for like minded young artists and performers to expand their skills in Musical Theatre, whilst meeting and learning around other passionate young people. The workshop is broken down into 3 days. Within these 3 days, it is broken down further into 3 sections. The morning begins with an ensemble voice class. Learning group harmonies, and creating music together. Mid-day focuses on acting techniques including improv, performance technique and audition tips. Later in the afternoon, all participants will learn a Musical Theatre style dance combo. These pieces are then performed to parents and caregivers at the end of each day of the workshop. Every day will have a new genre to focus on eg. fosse, classic, contemporary. as to expose the students to a variety of Musical Theatre eras and styles so they get the most out of the workshop.

Creating a safe space for young performers to meet like minded people, this Performing Arts Workshop provides a creative outlet for all school aged children just before the end of the working year – lets go out with a bang! Hosted and taught by current Waikato Young Singer and Director for the National Youth Theatre, Ella Veitch comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience, perfect for a comprehensive workshop such as this!
