2025 Professional Dancer Submissions Wanted
Skills in Contemporary Dance, Hip Hop, Street Dance and/or Commercial Dance is preferred and additional unique skill sets are welcomed
Skills in Contemporary Dance, Hip Hop, Street Dance and/or Commercial Dance is preferred and additional unique skill sets are welcomed (ie: Salsa, Tango, Ballet, gymnastics, parkour, aerialist or stunt work). If you can sing or play an instrument, please let us know as versatile performers are very welcome. We are also interested in actors who have strong movement skills.
We are encouraging submissions from all nationalities and genders. We are searching for dancers who have a strong work ethic and who are open to the variety of styles of dance that WOW shows involve.
2025 rehearsals begin 4 August and the show season finishes 5 October (a nine week contract) and you must be available for this date range.
The rehearsals and show season are in Wellington City.
Being part of the WOW Show is a memorable experience – our cast and crew return year after year to reconnect and hit the stage again. In addition to performing, you will make friends, expand your skills, and have fun performing to large-scale crowds in the TSB Arena throughout the show season. You will get to work along side like-minded individuals who are passionate and a strong creative team who work hard each year to create a memorable and unique event.
Dancer Requirements:
You must have the legal right to work in Aotearoa New Zealand and be over the age of 18.
For Wellington/Pōneke Based Performers:
Attend an in-person audition on 7pm – 8pm, Thursday 5 December 2024 at Te Whaea, Newtown, Wellington.
You do not need to prepare anything for this audition.

Performers Outside Wellington/Pōneke:
Please fill out the online registration form here, then email a headshot plus a two minute video demonstrating your current specific skill sets to submissions@worldofwearableart.com by 5pm, Thursday 5 December 2024.
If you happen to have extra experience in ballet, cultural dance forms, gymnastics, parkour, aerialist or stunt work we would LOVE to see and know more about it.
You may then be invited to learn a short routine via video as a second phase.
